Safe, non-invasive removal of tattoos and semi-permanent makeup using ND Yag laser technology
At The Lawson Skin Clinic, we provide advanced laser tattoo removal using the ND Yag laser system — an effective solution for fading or removing unwanted tattoos and semi-permanent makeup. This non-invasive treatment targets the ink beneath the skin without chemicals or surgery.
How It Works
The ND Yag laser emits precise pulses of light that are absorbed by the dark pigments in tattoo ink. These pulses cause the ink to shatter into microscopic fragments, which are then naturally broken down and removed by your body’s immune system over the following weeks.
Suitable for both amateur and professional tattoos
Can also treat semi-permanent makeup (e.g. eyebrows)
Targets pigment with minimal impact on surrounding skin
What to Expect During Treatment
A patch test is required at least 3 weeks before your first session
A whitening effect (known as “frosting”) may appear temporarily during treatment
Aloe vera gel is applied afterwards to soothe the area
A sterile dressing and full aftercare guidance are provided
Some discomfort may be experienced during the procedure
Number of Sessions
Tattoo removal requires a series of treatments spaced 8 weeks apart to allow full skin healing. The total number of sessions depends on:
Tattoo age and size
Ink colours (black fades quickest; blue and green may take longer)
Depth of pigment and skin type
Full removal is not always guaranteed and depends on ink composition. We also offer partial removal for clients wishing to re-cover tattoos with a new design.
